  • Raymond Lee Hughes, 80, of Donaldson, passed away May 16, 2017. Raymond was born to the late Robert & Josie (Buck) Hughes in New DeRoche, AR on July 19, 1936.

    Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

    Raymond is survived by his wife of 62 years, Opal (Parish) Hughes, his children, Kathy (Jerry) Selph and Ronnie (Cindy) Hughes all of Donaldson; and his grandchildren, Andy (Julie) Selph, Todd (Angel) Selph, Aaron (Kathy) Hughes, Mark (Beth) Selph, and Amber (B.J.) Bosley. He also leaves behind, 5 great-grandchildren, Derek Bosley, Julia Selph, Rachel Kate Newton, Logan Bosley, and Luke Selph.

    Raymond loved spending time with his family, deer hunting, gardening and smoking meat for family gatherings.

    A visitation will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Malvern.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Saginaw Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Alan Cansler officiating. Interment will be at Prairie Bayou Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy Selph, Todd Selph, Aaron Hughes, Mark Selph, B.J. Bosley, & John Crutchfield.
